Posting declarations

When your own trucks load and unload abroad, People, Posting shows, month by month, each driver's cabotage and cross-trade by country and whether a posting declaration covers it. Quanty prepares the data of each declaration; you file it in the EU's IMI portal yourself and type its number back, so you always see what is filed, what is late and what is missing.

Before you start

  • Your organization has the TMS add-on. Open Fleet, People, Posting.
  • Everyone can see the view and the declarations. Preparing, saving the number, adding the PDF, renewing and withdrawing needs a role that may change TMS data with the Fleet module. The IMI declarations company data are an admin's.
  • The view reads your own-fleet orders, the sets and telematics. Orders done by carriers are not here.
  • "Quanty does not file declarations by itself: you file it in the portal and type its number here."

Preparing and filing

  1. Click File the missing declarations (3) for every posting without one, or Prepare on a row. Quanty makes drafts.
  2. To file in the portal lists the drafts: "Open each one, copy its data into the IMI portal, file it and type its number back." A posting that has already started is marked: "The posting has already started: the declaration will be late, file it as soon as you can."
  3. Open a declaration (below), click Open the IMI portal, and copy each value with Copy.
  4. File it at postingdeclaration.eu.
  5. Back in Quanty, under After filing in the portal, type the Declaration number, the Filed on day and the Valid from and Valid until dates as filed, and click Save number. "The filing day says whether it was in time for the posting." The declaration reads "Filed in the portal, number …".
  6. Add the PDF from the portal keeps the PDF the portal gives you.

The rules of a declaration:

  • It covers at most six months: "A declaration covers at most six months."

  • Changing the dates or the trucks after filing marks it: "Changed in Quanty after filing: update it in the portal and save the number again."

The More menu holds:

Good to know

  • The driver also sees "Posting this month" on his card ("Germany: 2 days").
  • The days and hours are estimates; the declaration you file in the portal is what counts.
  • The IMI posting declaration document kind on the person card is a separate place for a declaration paper you got elsewhere (see The person card).
  • Diets during posting are a setting (off by default, see Trips and diets).

Estimates, not rulings

Whether a declaration is needed and what pay is due during posting stays your company's decision. Quanty shows what the orders and telematics say so you can check it; it does not tell you what the law requires.
