Pallet calendar

The Calendar tab of Pallets is your old pallet sheet, kept live: trucks in rows, days in columns, and every loading, unloading or swap as a card in the day it happened. The balance of each truck is worked out from the cards, so the calendar is also where you see at a glance which truck carries too many empty pallets and which one is short.

This page explains every part of the calendar: the views, the range, what a card and its colour mean, the card that appears on hover, the truck menu, search and the quick filters. How to add and change entries is in Adding pallet entries.

Before you start

  • Your organization has the TMS add-on. Open Operations, Pallets in the TMS rail; the calendar is the first tab.
  • Everyone in the organization can look at the calendar. Adding, changing and confirming entries needs a role that may change TMS data (a member with the Dispatch module, or an admin). A viewer sees the note that the page is read-only, and the add buttons are not shown. See Pallets overview.
  • A brand-new organization with no truck and no entry sees Here you see the pallets of every truck day by day instead of the toolbar, with four ways to start: Load the old calendar (.xlsx, .ods), Create entries from orders, Add the first entry and, for an admin, Load sample data.

Trucks by days

Trucks by days is the view the tab opens with. It reads like the sheet you kept by hand.

Trucks by days: each card is one entry, each row one truck.
The pallet calendar in Trucks by days: trucks in rows with their empty pallets, two weeks of days in columns, cards in their status colours

The truck column

The left column, Truck · empty pallets, has one row per truck, sorted by plate:

  • The plate. Click it to open Balance history of that truck (see Pallet balances). A truck without a plate shows No plate; entries without any truck share a row at the bottom.
  • The driver, or No driver.
  • The empty pallets in words: "12 EP extra" (the driver carries more empties than he should and can hand them back) or "11 EP short" (he is missing empties and should collect them). A settled truck shows nothing. The figure counts confirmed entries only; hover it to read the explanation, After checking: with the entries still waiting, and Other pallets: for CHEP, DPL and the other types.
  • A quiet question mark when the figure cannot be trusted yet: "Stock uncertain: unloadings without a pallet count" (some swaps have no count) or "Balance counted since the calendar import. Check the opening stock." (a balance of 100 or more without an opening stock). Both point to Set stock.
  • The truck menu (⋯), see The truck menu.

Under the last truck, Add truck adds a row, and Show hidden (N) brings back trucks you hid.

The days

Each column is one day, with the weekday and the date. Today has a Today pill, a tint and a line down the grid. A weekend day with no entry on any truck shrinks to a narrow hatched strip, so the working days get the room.

The cards

Every entry is a card in its truck and day. A card reads like a cell of your sheet:

  1. The short form of what happened, the count and the pallet type, for example r. 32 EP (with wym. 29 after it when fewer empties came back, and uszk. 2 when two pallets were refused as damaged).
  2. The partner, or where the pallets were left.
  3. The order number, on its own line.

The short forms are the ones you know from the sheet: z. loading, r. unloading, od. the driver gave pallets, Zabr. took pallets, Zost. left pallets, Uszk. damaged pallets, Plus or Minus a stock correction. A card with a TEST badge is test data and never counts. A small ? on a card means "No partner: this change lands in no balance". It is a reminder to add the company, not a discrepancy.

Click a card to open the entry in the side panel; click the + that appears on an empty day to add an entry for that truck and day.

Range and moving in time

The toolbar above the grid sets which days you see.

ControlWhat it does
Earlier / Later (the arrows)Moves by one week in the Week and 2 weeks ranges, by one month in the Month range.
TodayGoes back to the current week (or month).
The dates, for example "05.10 to 18.10.2026"Click them, pick a day under Go to a day and press Go.
Range: Week, 2 weeks, MonthA week and two weeks start on the Monday of the chosen day; the month shows the whole calendar month. 2 weeks is the default.

In the Month range a day shows at most three cards and +N for the rest; click +N to see All entries of that day. When a range has no entries at all, the calendar says No entries in this period. and offers Show the week before.

The address of the page keeps the tab, the view, the range, the day, the search and the filters, so a link you copy opens the same calendar for a colleague.

Colours and marks

Each card wears one of the status looks, so the status never depends on colour alone: an icon, and for the states that wait for a person, a coloured edge.

LookWhat it means
Discrepancy (red)The numbers do not match. It needs clearing up.
To check (accent colour, exclamation mark)Waiting for you: a driver reported it or Quanty read a receipt. Check it and confirm.
Receipt missing (yellow)The swap happened and the receipt has not come yet. A planned loading or unloading whose day has passed without numbers also shows like this.
Confirmed (orange)A swap, a handover, a pickup, a drop or a correction that was confirmed. It counts in the balances.
No exchange (pink)No pallets were swapped.
Planned (dashed outline)From an order, the day has not passed yet.
Note (grey)A note without numbers.
Cancelled (grey, struck through)Cancelled, does not count.

Show, What the colours mean opens the same six looks with their meaning, and Your own colour. When your organization works next to Marcos TMS, it also explains From Marcos TMS ("an entry copied from Marcos TMS. It counts like any other; what you confirm stays yours.").

What the colours mean.
What the colours mean: Discrepancy, To check, Receipt missing, Confirmed, No exchange and Planned with their meaning, and Your own colour

Your own colour: a colour picked on an entry (Card colour in the calendar) fills the card, while the icon and the frame still show the status. By status brings the status colour back. Colours imported from your Excel stay on the entry and in the export. Notes and cancelled entries are always grey.

The card on hover

Rest the pointer on a card (or move to it with the keyboard) and a small card shows the entry in words.

The hover card says in words what the entry does.
The hover card of a calendar entry: Unloading with the pallet count, what it changes for the truck and the partner, the partner, the order, the status with its source, and the receipt

It shows:

  • what happened and the count, for example "Unloading · 28 pallets EUR (EP)", or count unknown;
  • what the entry changes, in the same sentences as the side panel ("The truck gains 28 empty EP.", "Dairy owes us 2 EP.") and, for the truck, its stock before and after ("Truck: 6 EP short -> 32 EP short");
  • Partner: (or Partner: not entered) and the order;
  • the status and where the entry came from, for example "To check · reported by the driver on WhatsApp", with the date;
  • Receipt: attached (N) or Receipt: none yet.

The hover card never takes a click: clicking the card opens the side panel.

The truck menu

Every truck row has a menu (⋯ next to the plate, More for the plate).

The truck menu.
The menu of a truck row open: Balance history, Set stock, Add entry, Change the plate and Hide from the calendar
ItemWhat it does
Balance historyOpens the entries behind the truck's balance, newest first.
Set stockWrites how many empty pallets the truck has on a day; Quanty books the difference as an opening-stock correction. See Set stock.
Add entryOpens New pallet entry for this truck.
Change the plate"Every entry of the truck gets the new plate. If that truck already exists, the entries are merged."
Hide from the calendar / Show in the calendarHides a truck you no longer need (its row shows hidden while hidden rows are shown). Nothing is deleted.

Only Balance history is shown to someone who may not change TMS data.

Add truck opens Add a truck to the pallet calendar: "The truck appears in the calendar even if it is not in the fleet." Type the Plate and, if you like, the Driver (optional). An admin also sees Also add it to the TMS fleet.

Search and filters

Search and the Show menu.
The calendar toolbar with the search field and the Show menu open: Everything, To check, No receipt, Discrepancies, Planned and Test, each with its count in this view
  • Search: truck, driver, company, order keeps the rows whose plate or driver matches, or that have an entry with that partner, order number or text. Press / to jump into the field.
  • Show filters the cards by status. The menu lists Everything, To check, No receipt, Discrepancies, Planned and Test, each with its count in the loaded range ("To check: 3 in this view"). Test appears only when the range holds test entries. You can tick several; No receipt also covers planned swaps whose day has passed without numbers, while Planned covers only the ones still ahead.
  • The chosen filters show in a row under the toolbar, Showing only:, each with its count and an × to remove it, and Clear filters removes them all.

With a filter on, only the trucks with a matching card stay. When nothing matches, the calendar says Nothing matches the filters with Clear filters.

Confirming several entries at once

Entries To check can be confirmed without opening each one:

  1. Hold Shift or Ctrl and click the cards (or move to a card and press Space). Only entries waiting for a check can be ticked.
  2. A bar shows Selected: N with Confirm selected (N).
  3. Click it. Quanty confirms them, records who did it, and says Confirmed entries: N.

Clear (or Esc) removes the ticks. A new range, search, filter or view clears them too.

Other views

View (the button at the right of the toolbar) switches between Trucks by days, Sheet, Board and Month. All four show the same entries and follow the same search and status filters.

Sheet

Sheet: every entry of the range as a table.
The Sheet view: one row per pallet entry with date, truck, entry, pallets, exchanged, partner, order, status, source, receipt and warnings

One row per entry with the columns Date, Truck, Entry, Pallets, Exchanged, Partner, Order, Status, Source, Receipt and Warnings (also Note, Driver and Type). Sort by any column, hide columns and choose the row height in the table's display menu. A row click opens the entry.

Edit in the table turns Status, Pallets, Exchanged and Note into fields: "Status, pallets, exchanged and note save when you leave the field. Esc undoes." Only a stock correction can be negative. Done editing ends it. Warnings flags entries whose effect lands nowhere: "No partner: the partner balance has nowhere to go" or "No truck: the truck stock has nowhere to go".

Board

Board: the entries by status.
The Board view: entries as cards in four lanes, To check, Receipt missing, Discrepancy and Confirmed

The entries as cards in four lanes, in the order you work them: To check, Receipt missing, Discrepancy and Confirmed. "Drag a card to change its status. Confirming or marking a discrepancy records who did it." Planned and cancelled entries are not on the board (a line above it says how many and that you find them in the Sheet), and a test entry cannot be moved.

Month

Month: the entries of a whole month.
The Month view: a month grid with the pallet entries of each day as coloured cards

A month grid with every entry as a card in its status colour. Click a card to open the entry. "Click a day to see it on the trucks": the calendar goes back to Trucks by days on that day. The arrows turn the month.

Good to know

  • The calendar refreshes by itself every 20 seconds while the page is open, so entries a colleague or a driver adds appear without reloading.
  • The figure next to each truck counts EP. Other pallet types have their own balances and show as Other pallets: next to it.
  • A card's status and its colour are separate: a card you painted green is still To check until someone confirms it.
  • The calendar and the balances read the same entries. Nothing is kept in a second list.
