Templates
Templates are ready-made sheets for specific jobs: a full set of AI columns, guidance on which documents to add to each row, and — if the template has one — an agent to discuss the results with. The catalog spans more than twenty templates across six areas: Logistics, Accounting, Finance, Legal, HR and Procurement. Open Templates in the sidebar, or use the Choose from Templates button on the empty start screen.

Choosing in three steps
- Area — large category tiles, each with its template count inside.
- Job — smaller tiles inside an area, one per template.
- Showcase — full width for a single template: sheet preview, documents and chat.

From the second step on, a navigation line stays at the top: a back arrow, an area badge and a badge for the selected template. Clicking the area badge returns to the job tiles.
Matching a template from a description
Above the area tiles sits the Describe what you want to do… field. Write what you are after in plain language — for example "I'm comparing supplier invoices against CMRs" — and confirm with Enter or the arrow. AI picks the best-matching template, opens its showcase right away and shows a one-sentence justification next to the badges. It also proposes a name for the new workbook, so you don't have to invent one.
The field is only visible on the first step. Matching uses AI and counts against the organization's credit budget.
What the showcase shows
- Sheet preview — a miniature of what will be created: the Documents file column, the template's columns and realistic sample values that appear one after another, row by row.
- Documents to add — badges under the preview say what makes up one row. Hovering shows a hint and the supported formats, and the info icon explains what a row means in this template ("One row = one delivery").
- Details — the info icon in the title bar opens a side panel with the full description plus the What you add, Columns (including their prompts) and Example questions sections.
- Agent — if the template ships an agent, its avatar shows in the title bar, and the chat conversation is with that agent.
- Use template — the button on the right of the navigation line. It stays put even as the preview and the chat below it grow.
Customize the template in chat
The chat under the preview does two things: questions about the template, and changes to it. It opens with a greeting and two ready-made questions, but you can write anything:
- "What exactly does the Compliance status column check?" — you get a short answer.
- "Add a VAT amount column", "Remove the payment due date column", "Turn this into a select list" — the column set changes, and the preview redraws with the new columns and fresh sample values.
After the first change, a Customized badge appears in the title bar; clicking it (Restore original) returns to the catalog version. Answers come in the language you write in, regardless of the interface language. The chat also uses AI and counts against the credit budget.
Nothing is saved before you create
Chat changes live only on this page — until you click Use template, no workbook or column is created. Leaving the showcase discards your customizations.
Creating the workbook
Use template does everything in one step and shows progress: Creating your workbook…, Configuring the columns…, Opening your sheet…. You get:
- a workbook and sheet named after the template — or after the name proposed during description matching,
- the Documents file column in first position, followed by the template's columns — the catalog version, or your chat-customized one,
- the template's agent, if it ships one. An agent with the same name is never created twice, so the catalog doesn't clutter your agent list.
The sheet opens right after. The columns are configured but empty: add documents to the rows and run the columns — see Columns & AI extraction.
Creating workbooks from a template, like ordinary workbook creation, is reserved for organization owners and admins. See Organizations & roles.
How to read the created sheet
One row is one bundle of documents — one delivery, one contract, one candidate. Every column apart from the file column is an AI task described in plain language and run over that row's documents.
Nothing is frozen: you can change the columns' prompts, types and configuration later like in any sheet, add further columns by hand or through chat, and drop in files at any time. The catalog itself, however, is built in and shared by all organizations — you can't save your own template; your changes live in the created workbook.
