Document view
A Document view keeps pages of text next to a table: procedures, notes, onboarding guides, a wiki. "A document is made of pages. Add the first one and start writing." Pages nest into subpages, link to the table's records, and can show live rows of any table. Several people can write on the same page at once and see each other's cursor.
Before you start
- Document views are part of every plan. A document belongs to a table and lives under it in the project rail.
- Writing needs edit rights on the table (members and admins). Viewers read the pages and their comments: "Your role is read-only, so you can read comments but not add them."
- Write with AI uses AI credits and is available when your organization can spend them.
Create a document
In the project rail, click Add view under the table, then Document. The new document opens empty with Start writing, Blank wiki and Write with AI to begin the first page, and Add new with Table, Columns, Quanty table and Subpage.
The pages
The Pages list on the left is the document's tree.

Page actions hold Rename, Add subpage, Change icon, Duplicate, Copy link, Protect page / Remove protection, Archive / Restore from archive and Delete page. Deleting asks first: "The page, its history and its comments are deleted. This cannot be undone." and names how many subpages go with it. An archived page is read-only ("This page is archived and read-only.") and listed under Show archived pages in Document options.
Document options (the menu at the top) hold Rename document, Mark as wiki, Show archived pages, Copy link to document and Copy link to this page. A document marked as wiki shows a Wiki badge: "This document is marked as a source of truth".
A page

Select text for the formatting bar: Turn into, Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Inline code, Link, Text color and highlight, Alignment, Comment, Make a subpage from the selection and Edit with AI. Type @ to mention People, Pages, Tasks and records and Documents; a record or page mention becomes a link chip.
A Quanty table block shows live rows of a table you can open: pick the table and its page, and Rows shown (for example "10 rows"). It says "Showing 10 of 24 rows" and opens the table with Open table.
Protecting a page
Protect page locks the title and text: "This page is protected. Its title and text cannot be changed until the protection is removed." Only the page's owners and administrators can remove the protection.
The tool rail
The icons on the right of a page (Document tools):

Writing together
A page saves as you type ("Saving...", "Saved"). When colleagues have the same page open, the header shows them (People on this page) and each one's state: typing, writing, reading or idle. Follow someone to keep their cursor in view; typing or scrolling stops it.

If someone changed the page while you were not connected, Quanty keeps your text and asks: Load the latest version or Overwrite with mine. Your text is never thrown away silently; when a save cannot happen, Copy my text keeps it safe.
Share a document
The share button publishes the document as a read-only copy, Public or Organization only. Readers get the page tree with Previous and Next: "You are reading a shared copy. It cannot be edited from here." A Quanty table block shows "This table is only visible inside Quanty". A very long document shows its first 300 pages through the link.
Good to know
- Limits. Up to 2,000 pages per document, 6 levels of subpages, 10 owners and 50 linked records per page.
- Deleting the view deletes the document. The table and its rows stay.
- AI writes only when asked. Write with AI never changes the page until you insert or replace.
