Publish a live dashboard

Your operations sheet tracks supplier costs, delivery times and exceptions — and the team keeps asking for "the current numbers". In this recipe you generate a KPI dashboard from the sheet, shape its widgets through chat, and publish a read-only public link the team can bookmark.

What you need: a sheet with data worth charting, for example the import from Sync with Google Sheets.

Step 1 — Generate the dashboard

In the sheet toolbar, open the Present dropdown and choose Generate dashboard. Optionally set a title, pick the language (English, Polish or German) and choose whether sub-sheets are included. Quanty reads the whole sheet and proposes a set of widgets — stat tiles, charts and tables.

Step 2 — Shape the widgets with AI

Open Edit with AI and ask for exactly what you want:

Add a bar chart of total cost by supplier, and a tile with the average delivery time.

You can add, remove or change widgets in plain language until the board reads like a briefing. Chart colors come from your organization's presentation theme.

Step 3 — Keep the numbers current

Two refresh paths, depending on how much should change:

  • Refresh data — re-reads the sheet and updates the existing widgets' numbers.
  • Regenerate — rebuilds the widget set from the latest data. The dashboard keeps its id, URL and share link.

Use Rename dashboard to give it a stable, findable name in the hub.

Step 4 — Publish the link

Click the share action and Create public link and copy — you'll see "Public link copied to clipboard". The dashboard is now viewable at its /shared/ URL by anyone with the link, without a Quanty account. The public view exposes only the title, widgets and theme — no organization, sheet or user identifiers.

Send the link in Slack, pin it in your wiki, or open it on an office screen.

Step 5 — Manage the lifecycle

  • Copy public link again any time — the token is stable.
  • Revoke public link invalidates it immediately; visitors then see "This link is invalid or has been revoked."
  • Delete removes the dashboard and revokes its link. The source spreadsheet is not affected.
