Build a client-ready deck
Quarterly review time: your portfolio sheet holds the numbers, and the deck needs to exist by tomorrow. In this recipe you generate a presentation straight from the sheet, polish it with AI edits, brand it with your organization's theme, and hand the client a public link that keeps working even after you regenerate the slides.
What you need: a sheet with processed data (see Extract data from PDFs) and owner or admin role if you also want to change the organization theme.
Step 1 — Generate the presentation
In the sheet toolbar, open the Present dropdown and choose Generate presentation. You can set:
- a title and optional subtitle,
- the language of the deck — English, Polish or German,
- whether to include sub-sheets in the source data,
- optional insights you want the deck to emphasize.
Generation uses AI and counts against your organization's token budget. The deck opens in the presentation viewer when it's ready; up to 4 recent decks stay one click away in the same dropdown.
Step 2 — Review the slides
Walk through the generated slides in the viewer. Each deck is built from the sheet's actual values, so check the numbers against the grid — the source is one breadcrumb away.
Step 3 — Edit with AI
Click Edit with AI to open chat scoped to the deck, then ask for changes in plain language:
Shorten slide 3 to three bullets and add a risks slide before the summary. The assistant updates the slides in place. You can keep iterating until the story is right.
Step 4 — Apply your branding
Under Settings → Presentations, owners and admins can set the organization-wide presentation theme: slide style (Light or Dark), Brand color, slide background, text color, chart colors, Company name and a slide footer, with a live preview. The theme applies to every generated deck — including what viewers of public links see.
Step 5 — Present or share by link
- Present switches to fullscreen presentation mode.
- To share, use Create public link and copy. Anyone with the link can view the
deck at its
/shared/URL — no Quanty account needed, and no internal identifiers are exposed.
Step 6 — Regenerate as data changes
When the sheet gets new data, open the deck and click Regenerate. The presentation is rebuilt from the latest data in place — the deck's URL and the public share link stay stable, so the client's link never breaks.
When the engagement ends, Revoke public link turns the link off immediately. Deleting a presentation also revokes its share link, and the source spreadsheet is not affected.
Where to go next
- Presentations & dashboards — themes, share links, regeneration
- Publish a live dashboard — the always-current sibling of a deck
- Chat — everything the assistant can edit for you
